Here's what you need to know about Zwift's Giro d'Italia 2019 Stage 1 in Bologna, including a first ride of the route, plus a bit of an insider guide on riding the course, as well as some behind the scenes tidbits. The 8KM (5 mile) long stage starts off with a 5KM flat section, followed by a 1KM gradual ascent, then it gets down to business with a 2KM climb that averages 9.7% and tops out at 16% (or 18% within Zwift). Yikes! Be sure to set your trainer at 100% trainer difficulty in Zwift to enjoy all the feels!
