Will Microsoft release a Windows Surface Phone in 2018

Based on rumour and speculation I hear that there may be a new Microsoft Windows Surface Phone on the horizon.

These rumours came about recently by the discovery of some mobile specific code in a recent version of the Windows 10 desktop operating system.
