Making a treadmill into a 3D printer has been in my bucket list for a very long time and luckily in Jon's too. A few months ago at Formnext we decided that we should at last try to get this project going that we had been talking about for so long. So we blocked a few days and met to try and bring the idea of making a treadmill into a 3D printer to reality. Honestly it came out way better than I expected and now I believe that it is possible to end up with a 3D printed kayak in one go with this machine. We ran into a few issues along the way but the principle of a treadmill being a good base to built a belt 3D printer is still valid and I honestly would consider doing it this way if I were to try and build another belt printer (belt not standing).

As always love reading your comments and subscribe if you want to see us trying to get a usable kayak out of this thing.
