I'm taking on the challenge of hand crafting every piece of furniture for my house, starting with a pair of super modern floating nightstands for the bedroom. I delve into the complete process, from selecting materials like a sheet of plywood and beautiful walnut for edge banding, to overcoming stability issues and employing various woodworking techniques. I demonstrate cutting, gluing, and using a router for precise joinery, as well as integrating a French cleat system for wall mounting. Throughout the project, I share useful tips and tricks, such as creating clean cuts in plywood and using clamps effectively. The video also covers my design process and how I draw inspiration for my projects.
