Toyota Mirai hands-on: hydrogen fuel-cell power - if you can find fuel
Description
We took Toyota's second generation Mirai for a test drive. The new Mirai uses an advanced version of Toyota's fuel-cell technology, which generates electricity from hydrogen. The Mirai drives an electric car, albeit a rather sluggish one, but you can fill it up like a gasoline vehicle, and it emits only water as waste. Well, you can fill it up if you can find fuel. There are only a few dozen hydrogen fuel stations in the entire US, and most are in San Francisco and LA, so if you want to try out this car and live anywhere else, you may be out of luck.
