This AIO Struggled on AMD - we helped Montech fix it
Description
Approximately 9 months ago Monetch launched its first AIO CPU cooler the HyperFlow ARGB.
It was available in 240mm and 360mm sizes, in black or white colour schemes and was very reasonably priced at around £85 for the 360mm version. Now Montech is back with a new HyperFlow Silent which, according to Montech has whisper-quiet performance but ditches the RGB lighting so it’s a budget AIO for the cooling purists, but does its low noise output mean performance is compromised?
We ran into some rather serious test issues during this review - which we detail in the video and how Montech dealt with our feedback and realising they needed to make changes. Be sure to watch the whole video or use the timestamps to head to different sections.
They said:
“After reviewing James’ feedback and conducting additional internal testing, we’ve identified that the poor AMD performance is largely due to the new mount.”
Montech went on to say -
“As a result, we’ve made the decision to hold all unshipped units and revert to the ARGB version’s original mount. For units that have already been shipped or are on store shelves, we will provide customers with the updated mount upon request—no questions asked—via rma@montechpc.com.”
