Tenlog Hands 2 Dual Independent Extruder 3D Printer: Dual Color Print & Duplicate Mode!

The Tenlog Hands 2 3D printer is a great compact Dual Extruder Printer. The nice feature of the Tenlog Hands 2 is that each extruder functions independently from the other. This means that you can print with two different color filaments, print in Duplicate Mode and in Mirror Mode. This gives you many more options over the single Extruder printers.

For a size comparison, the Ender 3 is the closest in overall size and build area. The Hands 2 bed is slightly smaller than the Ender 3 and comes in at 8.6” X 8.6” X 9.8” which seems small but it is actually bigger than most of the Dual Extruder printers on the market today. If you are looking for a larger build area I suggest the Tenlog TL-D3 which has a build area of 11.8” X 11.8” X 13.8” – quite larger than the Hands 2.

The Hands 2 has many great features that are listed above. Since my son prints, lots of small parts the Duplicate mode is the best feature since it is liking having 2 printers working at once. Two prints that would take 4 hours to complete now take 2 hours. This really helps to maximize his production and since he mainly prints small objects the build area is more than sufficient. To be honest he has yet to use up the build area on his TL-D3 or Anycubic Chiron. So nothing is really lost with he Hands 2 size.

The only negative I can think of is that the bed leveling takes some work. Not only do you need to level Extruder 1 but you also need to manually adjust Extruder 2 so that it prints correctly. A bit of a chore and one that needs to be repeated as the bed gets out of level. But minor compared to all of the overall great features of the Hands 2.
