New Stages Dash GPS Units! L10, L50, M50 Bike Computers

Here's a pile of details on the new Stages Dash L10, L50, and M50 GPS bike computers. While I couldn't show as much as I wanted (or Stages wanted), this at least gives you the flavor of things. All the photos taken are ones I took the day before outside (not PR stuff).

I suspect they are probably mere days away from getting the units working again. Essentially what happened was they needed to make a chipset change back in early June as they prepared for production. That went off mostly on-time mid-June, but then the new units you see in the bubble wrap got held up in customs for about two weeks, until a few days before Eurobike. The units they had otherwise were all typical hand-built 3D printed concept ones, rather than something ready to handle Eurobike folks. This left them up a creek without a paddle (or in this case the ability to actually change any screens) because they hadn't had the time to work out bugs with the new chipsets pre-Eurobike. So the screens shown were running a pre-programmed loop with that map screen you see.

In any case, a bit of the behind the scenes realities. These sorts of things happen more often than you think - it's just that often companies simply put these units under a glass case. Versus here they decided to be fairly upfront about what happened.
