Making a fake window using three 50-inch TVs and basic tools. I start by placing the TVs together on a plywood base and drill holes according to the TVs' mounting screw locations. To hold the TVs, I construct a frame from Baltic birch plywood, reinforced with butt joints and pocket hole screws. The central plywood piece is inserted into the frame through rabbets that I cut using a track saw. I use a French cleat system to wall-mount and add curtains for a window effect. I also created a box to conceal all the wiring and electronics. Finally, I use a video wall controller to make the three vertical TVs work as one. This creates a realistic window that brings the illusion of the outdoors into the room.
