Hands-on: $249 Garmin Edge Explore with color touchscreen
Description
Garmin's just announced new Garmin Edge Explore comes in at a surprising $249 price point. Question is - what'd they cut out to hit that level?
Surprisingly...not a lot. The screen is a tiny bit smaller than the Edge 1030, but it's still color touchscreen that actually works well (cough....looking at you Edge 820), and includes legit turn by turn navigation. It lacks Strava Live Segments (but can upload to Strava and has Strava routes). It also lacks structured workouts and power meter/shifting support. Still, at this price point there's nothing like it, and it's great for the bike touring market.
