Garmin's New Live Event Sharing: An Explainer // How-to Guide & Test
Description
Full post: XXX
Garmin quietly added a new feature to their Forerunner 45/45, 245/245 Music, 945, and MARQ series watches, called 'Live Event Sharing'. But this isn't the live tracking you know and love. Nope, it's totally different and is designed almost entirely for races. The goal being to notify friends/family each time you cross a split (i.e. mile 1/2/3, etc...), as well as the finish line. It'll give them projected finish times (both elapsed time and exact time of day).
I go through how it all works and some of the gotchyas.
