Can Intel's 10th Gen desktop CPUs compete, or are they more of the same? | Upscaled Mini
Description
Intel's new "Comet Lake" 10th gen desktop CPUS check a lot of boxes, up to 10 cores on a flagship, even higher boost speeds (up to 5.3GHz), and hyperthreading down the line. But they're also still the same 14nm process and Skylake architecture we've seen over and over for the past five years. Still, credit where it's due, these chips will probably be super speedy, though the flagship parts cost a bit more than we'd like.
Looking down the lineup, though, the new i3 parts are pretty interesting. 4 core, 8 thread chips that can hit 4.4GHz? Isn't that pretty much an i7 7700k? Except these chips cost about $120. Not a bad deal.
