Back 4 Blood open beta hands-on: Left 4 Dead is back!... for blood

Lots of us have fond memories of zombie slaying in Left 4 Dead, arguably one of the best co-op PvE games every developed. Unfortunately, we haven't gotten a new L4D game since 2009, and publisher Valve isn't great about producing the 3rd entry in any series.

Now original developer Turtle Rock Studios is here with a new game, Back 4 Blood, which is extremely similar to (but legally distinct from) the Left 4 Dead series. Pick one of 8 heroes, and set off in teams of 4 to mow down infected zombies and make the world safe for humans, or take control of the horde and try and wipe humanity out.
